Notes on some of the D’ni terms that appear in the translations:
hahr (s.), hahrtee (pl.) — a D’ni period of time roughly equivalent to an Earth year. Because the terms are not precisely equivalent (and because Naron dates his letters using the D’ni calendar), I have chosen to leave this word in D’ni rather than translate it to “year” or “years.”
